Bringing home a new puppy or kitten is exciting, and we're here to help you start off on the right paw. Early visits focus on core vaccinations, deworming, and a full health check.
We'll also talk through spay/neuter timing, microchipping, nutrition, and everything else new pet parents want to know.
What to expect in the first few months
Young pets usually visit every 3 to 4 weeks until they are around 16 weeks old. Each visit builds their protection and gives us a chance to answer your questions as they grow.
- Core vaccine series, with lifestyle vaccines as needed
- Deworming and a fecal parasite check
- Flea, tick and heartworm prevention
- Microchipping for permanent identification
- Spay and neuter planning
- Nutrition, house training, litter box and socialization tips
What to bring to the first visit
Bring any records from the breeder, shelter or rescue, a fresh stool sample if you can, and your list of questions. No question is too small.
